Weekend Getaway

This past weekend was so much fun! We weren't celebrating anything in particular but we certaintly had a wonderful time. We got all dressed up and went to SLC on Friday night for a romatic dinner at The Roof. The food was incredible and the view definitely breath taking. I can't think of a more beautiful view than the SL temple lit up at night. I couldn't help but just be so grateful that Chris and I are sealed to each and to Collin for time and all eternity. What an amazing blessing! *P.s we weren't sealed in SL we were actually sealed in Melbourne, Australia...anyways.
After the Roof we stayed overnight at the Marriott downtown. I definitely reccommend it - staying at a hotel even when you live 45 minutes away - because it was SO much fun and felt like a special occasion. The next morning we drove to Park City for some shopping! I'm the first to admit that shopping is not my favorite activity but I loved being with Chris and picking out some clothes. Although after a couple hours of changing clothes we both got a little tired.
One story really quick. I was looking for a skirt in Park City and let me tell you of all the stores in Park City (and if you haven't been let me just say there are TONS of them) I could not find one skirt I liked. I looked everywhere and probably tired on at least 30 of them. Anyways we went home unsucessful in the skirt arena. Then on Monday when I went to my car durning my lunch break on the front seat were flowers and a bag of skirts Chris had bought for me! He did such an amazing job picking them out. He is so good to me!

Thank you for the weekend babe! I love you!

About time for an update!

Wow. Just like the title states...it is about time for an update! It seems like so much as happened since I lasted posted that I don't even know where to begin. I will hit on a few highlights from this past month because surely you would be bored to death if I try to hit on everything. Before I start though I just want to say I am aware that my background is still the Fall leaves and that it is no longer Fall - I will be changing it shortly

School - Chris is officially now a BYU grad! He finished off this last semester at BYU with a 4.0! I married such a smart boy! Pardon my bragging but I just can't help it. Throughout his time at BYU he had 4 semesters with 4.0 and the rest are not too far from that. I'm lucky I know : ) He is going to be working for non-profit company, Ascend Alliance, based in Salt Lake, for the next 6 months as a volunteer before we move to Palo Alto, CA where he will start with Citigroup.

Christmas - The Christmas holiday was wonderful! I love the time to spend with family and am sad that the holidays are already over. This year we spend Christmas eve and Christmas day with the Shelton's in South Jordan. For the past two Christmas's we have been in Australia visiting my family and so it was fun to be able to participate in the Shelton traditions this year.

Us at the Hale Center Theater's production of the Christmas Carol. We went with the Shelton Family and loved it!

Wedding - Erica and Coleman got married on December 30 in the Timpanogos Temple. I am so happy for them. They have dated for over 5 years, beginning when we lived in Shanghai, China. Coleman joined the church and then they both went on missions and now they are married. They are so perfect for each other!

New Years - Happy New Years! I cannot believe that it is 2011. Chris and I partied with family in South Jordan this year. Playing games and eating lots of food! I am proud to say that Chris and I started the New Year off on a great foot by running 7 miles this morning. I know, we've got a ways to go before our 26.2 mile run in April...but hey we are working on it.

Natalie and Chris's mom with the 'opening the present' game. It was intense and so much fun!

So I also had a great video of Chris and Big John dancing but I can't seem to upload it now...so I guess I have to just save it for another day.

Collin - I still miss Collin every single day. I know that I will always miss him. It's been hard not to have him on what would have been out first Christmas together. I definitely have had time to reflect during the holidays. And I am so grateful for my Savior. I am so grateful for His birth and for the incredible sacrifice He made so that I can be with my son again.
